In Stitches

go to mylifeisaverage.com

It's hilarious.
Sneak Preview:

"Today, I saw a commercial for the Snuggie. I thought it was stupid idea but I couldn't change the channel because I was under a blanket and I didn't want my arms to get cold. MLIA"

"Today, as I was waiting on line at a store, I noticed the cashier had a British accent. When it was my turn, I faked a British accent in conversation. He asked me where I was from, so I admitted that I was faking. His British accent disappeared as he said, "Me too." MLIA."

Saturday Events

1. Slept in until 12... on my living room floor. My bed was covered in stuff and I was too lazy to move it...

2. Went to see "Coco before Chanel" in the dollar theater with my best friend from birth, Katie. We went like 30 minutes early because it was new this weekend. There were about ten people there. Provo is not as cool as I thought! But hey, I'll watch any movie that involves subtitles. I'm going to see it again tonight at midnight.... that's how good it was. I'm sure I will have a Coco inspired blog post tomorrow.

3. Mimi's cafe after the movie... because we were feeling fashionable. I ate french onion soup... very appropriate.

4. Tailgate Party/Watching the Utah vs. BYU basketball game on a big screen. I'm not a fan of hotdogs sitting out in a pan at room temperature.. and I'm not very good at watching sports other than basketball... but I CAN tell you that we won!

5. Blogged (it's getting addicting!)

FUTURE 6. Coco again. :)

Zupas

Today I took some dinner to my friend Hillary because she wasn't feeling so great. Of course I knew that the perfect solution to a crummy day was soup and salad from Zupas. It is truly amazing. I got the tomato basil and the chicken tortilla per usual, but for the salad I got a little crazy and tried something new: the "Nuts about Berries" salad. mmmm
Sorry Thai Peanut Chicken... I'm never coming back.

Anthro Love

Who doesn't wish Anthropologie was their closet?? Not me! I love it. I counted and I have about 11 things from the best place ever. These recent additions to the online store are probably going to make that number go up a little!!

I need need NEED that dress/shirt, and tan leggings? So much better than Black.

FANTASTIC. I love this. Next time I'm in Salt Lake I am trying this on!! So curious to see what this cut looks like on.

Ummmm are those embroidered airplanes? YES

This one wins the prize... perfect

Playlist Wednesdays

Wednesdays are for playlists!!! Here are some of my favorites this week!

1. Kalai, On My Mind: First time I heard this song I said, "Are you kidding me?" He isn't kidding guys... this song is real.

2. James Taylor, Mexico: James James James. I can imagine him babysitting my future kids. He'll be sitting in my living room with his guitar, and my pajama-clad kids with curly hair will be dancing around with egg shakers when I come home.

3. Ben Kweller, Penny on a Train Track: This song makes me think of driving to the beach.. and I don't even know why... it's not even a beach-y track... and I don't think I ever listened to it on the way to the beach in my life.

4. The Script, Man Who Can't be Moved: Cute and Catchy... plus they all have hottt Scottish accents in real life. (I think)

5. Vampire Weekend, California English: Hey! I'm from California! These guys epitomize cool. One of those songs you can dance to without any dancing skills.

6. Belle and Sebastian, If She Wants Me: This band is in my top five for sure. This makes me think of getting high and riding a bicycle at the same time... not that I would ever get high... but I can ride a bike!

7. Mickey and Sylvia, Love is Strange: Ahhhh Dirty Dancing! This song is from my favorite part. Baby's fabulous high waisted shorts and keds are the highlight of the scene. Miss you Pat!

8. Jeremy Adamiak, Paperback Novel: Jeremy is super cool, trust me, I know him. I remember him playing this song at a beach bonfire once. I'm craving a bonfire right now actually... good thing there's snow on the ground.

9. Bob Dylan, Rolling Stone: I feel so legit when I listen to Dylan. I think Adam Sandler looks like him a little bit. But I have yet to meet someone who agrees with me on that one.

10. Simon and Garfunkel, the 59th Street Bridge Song: "Hello lamp post, watcha knowin'?" There aren't many real lamp posts in Provo, but the next time I come across one, I'll say it. S&G are also top 5 for me.

11. Colbie Caillat, Fallin' For You: I was one of her early myspace followers, back in the days when all her recordings were done in her bathtub. When I heard bubbly, I decided to teach myself guitar. Thanks Colbie!

12. Frank Sinatra, Let's Fall in Love: Frankie.... I love you. Who needs a date on Valentines day when you have an old Sinatra record to keep you company?

13. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, American Girl: Legendary. I adore Tom Petty. I thought I saw him in a record store once... it probably wasn't him... but I told all my friends it was.

14. Vanessa Carlton, White Houses: Dang good song. Vanessa Carlton makes me think of sleepovers and middle school.

15. The Weepies, Gotta Have You: Put it on repeat and it will annoy the crap out of your roommates, but I LOVE IT. The most darling song ever written. I could sing it forever and ever and ever.

16. Jason Reeves, Reaching: The guy behind all of Colbie Caillat's songs. He's so underrated. A great song writer, and a great song.

17. Stephen Speaks, Passenger Seat: I don't know Stephen, or if he's speaking, but I'll bet he made all the girls swoon when he was in high school.

18. John Legend, So High: Oh boy... I think I'm being seduced.

LISTEN TO THESE SONGS. They are amazing.

When I'm 30....

Eventually I will have adorable children. I will dress them in American Apparel, and they will be the hippest kids on the block.

My best friend Valentino

I recently watched Valentino: The Last Emperor on my Netflix instant watch (Love Netflix). Safe to say one of the best and most indulgent documentaries ever made. I love it. By the end I felt like Valentino and I were close friends, and that I could just pick up my phone and call him up for advice. I love that fabulously bossy orange little Italian. Beautiful.

Is that odd?

Is it odd that house is my number one celebrity crush?? hmmm nope

Is it odd that this is George Clooney?? hmmm yup

Ta Da!

My very own blog! I will try my very hardest to be both entertaining, informative, and creative. But chances are... this blog will probably end up like most of the eco-friendly/beautiful/vintage-y/Paris loving/"I have a cool camera and a cardigan wearing husband with a beard" blogs. (Sans the husband/cool camera part of course). But there is nothing wrong with that! Those sundress-wearing ladies provide me with a wonderful vehicle for daydreaming. I almost feel as if they are my friends in real life. (a shout out to my imaginary friend joanna goddard)
Well, if you're reading this... you're probably named Sarah... or you were bored enough to find my link on facebook. Either way, I hope this turns out to be as fun as I think it will be!!

And now for your viewing pleasure... the most artistic self portrait in my iphoto library :)
